New equipment comes with a warranty and you can purchase an extended warranty which is not included in the sticker price. If you do not mind second hand equipment, you can find it on auction sites such as eBay. Used equipment does not come with a warranty.

If you are handy with electronics, you can install your home theater system. Sometimes a store will offer free installation to make a sale. If not, ask them.
